On August 15, 2019, Restart has organized the 4th “Reconnect” conference, a networking event that aims to connect successful professionals from the diaspora and entrepreneurs in BiH, as well as to share knowledge from diaspora experts on how local companies can grow internationally. In 2019, Reconnect brought together more than 230 participants BiH and the diaspora from Europe, America, and Australia. The event was opened by US Ambassador Eric Nelson. The speakers were young experts from the diaspora who spoke about different challenges in business development and access to resources.

Restart operates as a business embassy for diaspora and other foreign companies by facilitating their investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Restart’s mission is to foster new investments and new jobs in BiH by serving as a trusted broker, bringing together capital, know-how, and companies from BiH and its diaspora. Restart is providing support to USAID’s Diaspora Invest through the implementation of various components of this project, with an emphasis on designing and implementing technical services related to establishing a diaspora online business network and conducting diaspora outreach, networking, and business-to-business activities.
